Imagine an extremely cold winter day. The only thought in your head, while you’re rushing down the street to your home is about something warm, cozy and…huge to cover you whole from tip to toes.
Anna Marinenko was inspired by this very thought when she came up with an idea of making blankets from Australian merino wool yarn, so thick that she used to use her hands instead of needles at the beginning because none of the needles she owned were suitable for this yarn.
Designer Marinenko lives in Ukraine and sells her unique, comfortable blankets via Etsy page under the shop name Ohhio. On this page, you can also find special-sized needles for this kind of knitting if you get inspired by the photos in the gallery below and want to try to make one of this super-size-stitched blankets of your own. Besides these comfortable, little bit funny and dumpy blankets, she knits scarfes, pet beds, and more stuff in this recognizable style.
