Netherlands-based photographer Marloes van Antwerpen manages to be patient enough with her adorable pet and to deliver amazing conceptual photographies featuring Mieps the Guinea Pig.
If you think about it, it must be really hard to get a guinea pig to pose like a superstar model, but a passion for photography and love for a pet can do magical things, as you can see in the photos. To get a desirable concept of gothic and fantastical atmosphere or say Alice-in-wonderland-like, Marloes uses props made by herself or the one she found at budget stores, flea markets or secondhand stores which she is treasure-hunting every Sunday with her dad. Add to that a little bit of Photoshop and there you go with outstanding results that you can see in the guinea pig pictures below, shoot at the home backyard.
Marloes has a message for all animal owners who would like to try something similar as her: “Please be patient with them. Just go with the flow, they cannot possibly know what you want from him or her. Earn their trust, the result will be that they trust you.
