Now this is art. One Japanese artist named Tatsuya Tanaka took an Instagram fan’s comment to heart and decided to create miniature dioramas everyday for five consecutive years. “The idea came from a comment on Instagram, in which a follower wrote, ‘I want to see the miniature calendar everyday,'” says Tanaka. “So, while I answered by posting something daily, the thought of the project was too good for me to quit.” Now Tatsuya has quite the collection. Take a look at a few of his creations below!
We like to refer to this one as, “The Wilderness.” Doesn’t it look like she’s walking through a large field?

Working in the fields.
Climbing the great sponge wall.
Conquering the potato patch.
Misbehaving at dinner.
Exploring new plains.
Withstanding the storm.
Having team spirit.
Summer fun.
Back to work.

Sweet voyages.
Hard labor.
Dinner is served.
The grand piano.
Securing the cycle.
Gone surfing.
A day at Starbucks.
An evening at the pool.
Appreciating the good ole days.
