Sometimes to make a good living out of art you need to think outside the box, in fact, this is a key quality to have! Well, one artist used this term literally and created an awesome set of art pieces using nothing but keys and coins. Michael Moerkerk is working under the blowtorch to create his art pieces, The Australian started his career creating spheres and balls but moved up from there to create amazing bottles and wine glasses to female torsos, he even worked on a dolphin at one point. Moerkerk says he only had one day of lessons in soldering thirty years ago and the rest of his knowledge he got from watching YouTube. As you already figured, he’s a self-taught artist that works with wood and also photography, but it’s his metal work that got him famous , even if it was by accident ” Not so long ago, when I was supposed to be cleaning out my shed, I came across some old copper pipe saved from a previous renovation.
