Eran Gilat always thought he would follow in his father’s footsteps being a biologist. He soon discovered that he was in love with the human brain and so began his love of electrophysiology and neuroscience.
This branch of science involves electrical biology within the brain and tissues. Gelat is also an accomplished self-taught photographer. He soon developed a love for the gritty feel of street style photography.
he has brought these two elements together in his soon to be published book , Life Science. Photographing still lifes of animal organs and human tissue samples started as a way to help his students. He found that involving them in his art expression helped them get over their initial squeamish response involved in handling “animal parts”. Gilat’s field of expertise is the advanced study of epilepsy.
