Czech Photographer Dita Pepe created a unique photo series called ” Self Portraits with Men ” she tried to re-imagine her life with different families in different countries around the world , think of the next question : Who could you have been? Her photos look so real because of her ability to become a seamless member of each family she created. At first she posed with men she knew, but after a while she approached strangers to pose as her partner and she even included her own daughters in the mix. when you look at the result you can see that the photos manage to transcend age, class and culture, despite the fact you can easily recognize her face in each image.Pepe’s work can be compared to the work of Cindy Sherman, but her talent focus more on how relationships can transform an individual and identity, stuff like origin, influence and choice come into play, the “what if ” question is sometimes comical, sometimes surreal interpretation of the different paths we all could have taken. visit her site here
