There are plenty of artists that create sculptures out of recycled items, and then there’s this guy! French artist Edouard Martinet and his insect sculptures is a unique space in this world with his perfect old car parts. Other than insects, you could also see the artist creating birds, and other animals from discarded parts found around the house or wear house.
The most unique part about Martinet work is the fact that he never solders his pieces together. He also finds little pieces that will fit perfectly using only screws or other fascinates. Check out the gallery below and read more about him and his cool work.
Martinet creates these insects pieces with a perfection to details style
Edouard collects spare parts at flea markets. Then when he has enough he creates amazing insects and other animals figures
Some of his work takes 17 years to complete – Martinet is a perfectionism that needs to find just the right part for each work
What makes his art even more difficult is the fact that he does not solder or manipulate the material almost at all
He finds just the right parts and screws them together with blots and screws
To add to that, Martinet tries to find antique old car parts for his work and just any recycled part he can find
This gives his work the 50’s cool like look that cant be achieved with just old parts
You can notice how many parts does it take to complete just one sculpture. So imagine working on 10 of these
The ability to fit everything together so perfectly is pure art
Look at the eagle eye of this picture. It almost look like a real life eye – But it’s actually a bolt with a screw on it
Creativity never sleeps with this guy
