Volunteering is such a noble thing to do. Helping others in need when we are satisfied with our own lives, without expecting compensation is one of the most important values of civilization which we must cherish carefully. And the best way to do that is, of course, by our own example. The lady from the photo above is a volunteer in a dog shelter in Pennsylvania. She comes to the shelter, which by default is not the happiest place on Earth, to read to dogs inside the confines of a kennel. That lifts those pooches’ spirit, for sure, and they enjoy the time she decided to spend with them.
This simple act of kindness was shared on the photo by Reddit user puglife123 with a capture: “This woman comes to my local humane society and sits in front of the dogs cage and reads books to the dogs.”
“They always need volunteers!You can do anything from dog walking, cat cuddling, to helping with the rabbits! I don’t get there as often as I would like because of work, but when I do it makes my day so much happier,” is the message of the user who shared the photos.
