Love is expressed in so many different ways and different words. Language or dialect has never been a barrier for someone who wants to communicate and express his or her feeling of affection and love for a person. However, there are love words from all around the globe that are barely translatable to english yet its meaning transport a message that causes a heart to be merry.
Vashi who is a Jewelry designer and Emma Block who is an Illustrator worked together and came up with a brilliant idea to display and represent a graphical presentation of love languages. With the world’s 6,500 language, only less than 1,000 people can speak and comprehend most of these languages. Some of these words or phrases in a certain language have no exact meaning or corresponding translation with other language especially words that are related with love. It’s hard to define and explain it either. Block made a careful examination on languages from all over the world and meticulously chosen some fantastic words that are too difficult to define and be relayed in English. Word such as Naz in Urdu which means taking pride on the feeling of being loved is an example of their illustration.
Every word they’ve chosen was accompanied with a fanciful graphics so that readers can easily catch up and comprehend the exact meaning of every word by showing an emotion or expression that springs up when love is around.
