Meet Kei Meguro, a Japanese illustrator and graphic designer who moved to New York for art school and settled down in Brooklyn, Eventually she would have cultivated her photorealistic aesthetic and also established her business as a freelance illustrator and gained clients around the world. Now the 27-year-old beautiful pencil-drawn portraits are being exported back to her mainland of Japan for an exhibition called ” Juxtaposition “
Juxtaposition means things side-by-side – ” Even though I primarily focus on photorealism, I aim to create a juxtaposition by adding a graphic pop of color ” What makes Meguro portraits even more strikingĀ and alluringĀ is the post production work of adding bits of color, which she accomplishes in photoshop.
