We are going to have a Guardians of the Galaxy 3! Yes, we know you know, but you might not know when. The release date has been confirmed this week. The movie will officially be out in 2020 after we’ve had Avengers 4. Marvel Studios have been sitting on a few exact release dates in 2020. Those would be: May 1st, August 7th, November 1st.
James Gunn was a little informative with a fan on Twitter this week. He said that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will officially be released in 2020. We don’t know exactly when, but our guess is May 1st. Gunn has also said that this new Guardians would be be the stepping stone to the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after we would have witnessed a sort of end of the world in Infinity War.
There is some other good news that help make clear the uncertainty around the Disney and Fox deal. As James Gunn also revealed, this new arrangement won’t have any influence on Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Apparently, there might still be a chance that this deal won’t happen and even if it does, it won’t be finalized for a few years. So, let’s put it to rest for now!
The first Guardians of the Galaxy was quite a surprise hit for Marvel. The second installment was successful as well, so why would they wait 3 years till the next one? It probably has to do with the Infinity War and dealing with Thanos. After that, we shall see who is still standing, which Guardians and Avengers are still breathing and ready to take it all over again.
2019 is not short of release dates for Marvel. We will have Black Panther, Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Avengers 4, Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel. So, it seems like a full plate. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will have to wait ‘till 2020.
Anyways, exciting times come from Marvel so let’s buckle up!
