You Can Now Get an Organic Veggie Burger at Costco That Tastes, Look And Cooks Just Like a Beef Burger

You can now buy a veggie burger at Costco that will actually look, taste and cooks like a regular beef burger. According to Don Lee Farms, a California based company that says they are the first to make this new kind of vegetarian burgers that most people will love and say tastes like beef.

The company says the veggie burger is nothing short of a breakthrough as it’s made from certified organic beans and seeds. It has 0% GMOs, artificial ingredients and preservatives. The 36 year old family run company may be on to something here.

“It’s a burger made with plants, not with science, As people choose to consume less meat, they expect a burger alternative to be made with simple, wholesome and recognizable ingredients. This is the burger for them. This product is another example of what our team develops by focusing on each ingredient purpose. Because we crafted this burger from organic and responsible sources, it’s truly the only sustainable replacement for a raw beef burger.”

Says Danny Goodman, a Product Development at Don Lee Farms.

The bleeding veggie burger market is growing rapidly in recent years and companies like Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods are all making their way towards the perfect burger. Most companies use beets to get that bleeding effect of the burger and most companies have significant success with their products, today it’s relatively easy to get the veggie burger in various retail outlets and even restaurants.

To the surprise of many, the burgers have caught on with even the beef lovers and a very wide audience. Meat lovers, vegans and vegetarians say that they actually love the taste and love the health and environmental reasons, but the kicker is, many people just prefer the taste of the plant based patty according to a study. Who knew.

“We have been a supplier of plant-based proteins for many years, and as the leading manufacturer of organic veggie burgers in the country, we are excited to introduce another plant-based burger,” Donald Goodman, President of Don Lee Farms said in a statement. “Our customers are looking for an alternative to a raw beef burger and we responded with a healthier approach — making a burger with organic plants. We challenge everyone to look at the ingredients found in other plant-based raw burgers currently being sold, you would be surprised.”
