Patricia Piccinini has an interest in growth because of how it expresses diversity within the context of the being.
She thinks that if you didn’t know how things work, in relation to growth as human beings…
Looking at a little girl and than on a grown woman you could think that they are not of the same species
When you think about it, the name embryo is used to describe the early stage of an organism development…
At the early stage it’s hard to determine its species. when it reaches eight weeks and clearly becomes human, it is now called a fetus.
When you think about these lines when looking at Piccinni work, you might begin to understand where her way of thinking comes from
The ” creatures ” she creates might as well be humans right? Because we determine the name of what we all are…
If someone would look at us from the side without knowing anything about our species, we might be very different than what we think
