Can you spot the interloper in the pic above? Okay, it’s more than obvious – it’s the pig. But don’t tell that to the piggy because it would get shocked or offended; it firmly believes it is a dog too!
Eight-year-old Olive the pig and the rest of this simpatico crew live in Australia with their pet-parents Alissa and Nick. They care for other animals in their home as well, but Alissa says that bond between Olive and dogs are really special: “…definitely behaves as though she is one of the dogs. She spends every hour of the day with them, plays with them like a dog, she naps with them. If the dogs run at the gate to bark at something in the street, she races with them,” said Alissa for Mashable.
As a matter of fact, this relationship is not accidental. Pigs are very intelligent animals and have similar cognitive capabilities with dogs. Even Alissa’s and Nick’s greatest troublemaker among dogs, when it comes to other animals, gets along very well with Olive from the very beginning.
