Have you ever seen a peeling banana car or a burning candlestick light saber? How about your friendly neighbor moving his slice of white bread or iced donut (complete with sprinkles) headphones? These magical mixed up visions and many other whimsical works of art come from the mind of Photographer and BBDO Creative director Stephen McMennamy.
He calls his ongoing series of blended vignettes ComboPhotos. McMennamy splices together unlikely objects to create quirky and playful images that bend the norm of conscious reality. The juxtaposition in the photos is achieved by using the vast difference in scale or quality of the 2 objects used. His newest pieces will combine movement through video into his compound creations.
