Like a lot of spaghetti stories you saw online before the moms spaghetti, the copypasta originated from 4chan in the year of 2012 as the first known mention was found on the greentext story you can see in the image below, posted on April 19th.
Before the spaghetti stories that were published in 2010, a few lines from the famous Eminem song ” Lose Yourself ” were used in titles for blog posts including the mom’s spaghetti which appeared on various threads and discussion boards. Some of the most notable examples are the automobile forum LS1TECH in April 2003 and 4chan /r9k board in April 2008 and even FARK event forum in November 2011.
