This post is ribbed for your pleasure
OK , so the first thing we do is remove the membrane, now we now this is going to start a debate among you rib lovers, but in this recipe, we remove it. Just slide a knife between the bone and membrane and loosen it, then it just peels off
You have your three racks of side ribs now – looking fine
Time to rub it up, our rub of choice is Butt Rub ( ridiculous name )
Don’t be shy, rub your ribs from both sides, rub it good
Now we wrap the ribs with a plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator overnight
This is how it will look like the next day, DONT EAT IT RAW! it will smell great but try to resist
Wrap each rack of rib individually in foil then put them in a baking dish and in the oven with a low ~275F for 3 hours, this actually cooks the ribs and they will be tender and fall off the bone at this stage, wrapping them individually will cook them in their own juice, awesome! DONT EAT THEM YET!
Take our the ribs but keep the juices from the foil – at this point the ribs are done and you only need to sauce them and grill them
The sauce – take the juice from the ribs and use it a base for a BBQ sauce of choice , you can mix a bought sauce with the ribs juice and bring it to a simmer and mix together
Pour the sauce over the ribs and they are ready to the grill
This is tricky, the ribs are so tender that if they stick you gonna ruin the rack, make sure the grill is clean , hot , greased before starting and don’t flip the ribs until they’re ready, 3-5 minutes for each side should do it
Fall of the bone tender…oh man, I’m gonna need a minute here..
Serve with coleslaw and cornbread – Perfect! now wait for it…….
