While others are quietly sleeping in their houses in the middle of the night and while some are still awake watching their favorite tv series, this photographer, Max Siedentopf restlessly spends his nights sneaking around the streets of Amsterdam advocating his personal and individual status in an unconventional approach.
He expresses his individuality by “upgrading” random cars of strangers parked by the streets using masking tapes and few pieces of cardboards. He definitely has no idea who are the car owners of these vehicles he photographed, all he knew was, all of them need to be upgraded. He looks for the most average cars he could spot and hastily does his upgrades with his custom-made fenders and wings before someone would take notice of him and asks what he is doing.
After all the upgrades are done, he takes pictures of them and immediately leave. Whether its an old model of Volkswagen, Lancia or Peugot, their owners will be surprised to see their upgraded cars the next morning.
