How many breakdancing gorillas do you know? None? We’ll tell you about one who you could easily invite to the wildest party. She could be your dancing buddy without any problem.
Her name is Zola and she’s having fun like no other. Her dancing skills are on point and her ability to enjoy herself, unparalleled. Apparently, she loves dancing in the water, splashing and spinning. She is so much fun. Just scroll down for the video and see for yourself.
Zola is a resident of the Dallas Zoo. We know, it’s sad to see any animal in captivity, but the Zoo crew are trying their best to make the animals feel a little bit at home and enable them to have fun. Enrichment sessions like these, help the animals mentally and physically.
“Enrichment helps enhance the environment and lives of animals, like Zola, by providing them with mental and physical stimulation to increase natural behaviours. Enrichment can take many forms, but for this spunky great ape, it means playing and spinning in her favourite blue pool!”, said a representative for Dallas Zoo.
It is very good to know that animals in the Zoo can have fun and feel good and that the crew are helping them in any ways possible. Animals are living beings which deserve to be treated with the care and respect they deserve.
To get back to Zola, she is no stranger to the breakdancing artform. You probably remember the viral video of a young gorilla displaying a playful behaviour by breakdancing at the Zoo. Yes, that’s our Zola. Apparently, she has some born talents. Good for her. You go, girl!
