Mary Cotter celebrates her 103rd birthday and decided to wear a Wonder Woman costume to her own birthday party. This costume was given to her by her friends who believe that she’s genuinely serious about everything she is doing. She proves that you can be a superhero no matter what your age is.
Cotter has been volunteering at the Montclair Senior Center five days a week for 25 years already, that is why she prefers to celebrate her special day there serving and spending her time with her senior friends, making them happy by keeping them hydrated. ” They call me barmaid because I serve them drinks,” she quipped.
This 103-year old woman is indeed a superhero! She never gets tired. During her 60s, she used to work as a swimming instructor for children and when she reached her 90s, she still had the strength to help rescue sea turtles. She is just passionate about work even at her age. When she was asked of what kept her to have a long and meaningful life, she plainly told KABC, ” Just keep busy I guess.” What an inspiring story of a woman with great dedication towards her passion.
