What is a Quokka? It’s a small macropod about the size of a cat, like other marsupials in the macropod family ( such as Kangaroos and wallabies ) the quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal. You can find it on some smaller islands off the coast of Western Australia.
But forget about all that , there is a new trend going on where people take adorable selfies with the Quokka, they call it ” The Quokka selife ” , While you are forbidden to handling these creatures because they are on a “vulnerable” status by the IUCN, you can still take pictures with them and they look really happy to play along . they are not afraid of humans and will happily approach them.just look at the pictures below and see how happy they look!
