Lucy and Maria Aylmer’s mother Donna is half Jamaican and their father Vince is white. together they managed to bring to life one white twin and one black twin. The girls were born in January 1997. Their mother was amazed when she first saw them as no one knew before hand they will not be similar at all
Lucy said ” It was a shock for mom because things like skin color don’t show up on scans before birth ” Their mother who is 47 years old and a warehouse worker and their 53 years old father who works as a scaffolder split up after the twins were born
The two 18 years old have three older siblings. George aged 23, Chynna aged 22 and Jordan ages 21. ” Our brother and sister have skin which is in between Maria and I while we are at the opposite ends of the spectrum,” says Lucy
