Plants do enrich every interior but in order to keep them beautiful and healthy a certain amount of attention and care is necessary, almost on a daily basis. Also, plants require specific indoor conditions that not all spaces meet.
People from Studio We Love Eames were thinking about this and came up with a great solution for all kind of indoor spaces. Their Mygdal plant can be grown in a windowless room and besides that does not require any kind of human care.
The Luminaire is a self-sustaining ecosystem. Inside this lamp-like glass bowls, plants can grow for years not requiring ventilation or irrigation or any other care. The standing lamp provides a new type of electrically conductive glass coating (patent requested), which is able to stream the electricity invisible along the surface. What this means is that you don’t need to connect the LED light to a power source. This sure is revolutionary invention:
“This technical innovation opens up absolutely new opportunities in greenery design,” said designers.
