Why would anyone want this in their life? Why would anyone want to wear clothes made from parts of blow up dolls? If anyone can figure this mystery out, let me know. Sander Reijgers is the artist who made these unique blow up doll clothes. These are waterproof hoodies made partly of premade track suits and blow up dolls.
Sander says “These dolls are so ugly and vulgar that turning them into something beautiful has become a challenge for me. “
Well obviously. It would be nearly impossible to make anything beautiful out of a hideous blow-up doll.
Sander also says that the inspiration for this project came to him when he read ‘The Malady of Death’ by Marguerite Duras. How any inspiration for this of all art forms came to him through this book, I’ll never know.
“I remove the sexual function of the dolls by turning them into a jacket or a bag. In this way, the doll can ‘feel’ by performing a normal day-to-day task, rather than through sex…”
But would it even be useful? Would anyone actually want to use a bag or a jacket made of sex doll parts? The bottom line is, dolls can’t feel. Period. End of story.
If you disagree with my disagreement with Sander, do let us know in the comments. I’d like to see if anyone can make the point of these clothes clearer. More info: website
