This is a startling fact that may leave you looking over your shoulder the next time you are gathered together with your friends or co-workers. Sometimes when you are faced with a situation that involves someone you know in an personal way, the lines between rape and consent are blurred. In an effort to help clarify these gray areas, comic artist Alli Kirkham has come up with 7 easy and creative comic strips illustrating common situations that correlate with excuses rapist use on their victims. Her hope is that everyone will be able to easily identify when someone is crossing your boundaries and when you may be crossing someone else’s boundaries.
