Locks of Love is not a new organization. It’s been around even since I was a kid. But not a lot of people grow their hair out to donate it to cancer survivors. This kid is a hero, in his own right. He grew his hair long enough to make multiple wigs for kids with cancer.
I don’t know many kids who would do this. And growing your hair that long takes a long time and a lot of discipline. It can get in your face and it’s a pain to wash it. But it’s a small price to pay to make someone smile when they look in the mirror. Everybody’s talking about Thomas Moore and his personal pledge not to cut his hair until it was long enough to donate. Everyone should be inspired by his generosity and follow in his footsteps.
Take a look at all these photos and Tweets raving about Thomas. Leave your thoughts in the comments section. Would you grow your hair long to donate it to cancer survivors?
Thomas Moore got the idea when he saw his mom watching a video on Facebook of a girl who lost all of her hair due to cancer
At that moment the 8-year-old kid decided to grow his hair and donate it to kids who lost it to chemo
So he did exactly that…
And he did it for two years!
And you can see the amount of hair he managed to grow is impressive
This is how long he got before cutting it
By the end of the two years Thomas had enough hair to donate three wigs!
It was his aunt, Amber Ray who shared his incredible story on Twitter
It didn’t take long before the story became super viral and won the internet for the day
Here’s the actual moment Thomas cut his hair:
Myyyy baby! I’m so proud of him!
He’s breathing all hard and smiling so BIG right now!!!
