Meet Karl Pfeiffer, he’s a portrait photographer and he loves superheroes, Batman in particular. he loves Batman so much that in kindergarten he did a project about how when he grows up he was going to be Batman. But as we all know in the real world you need a career, money and to obey by society rules so he put his dreams of becoming the dark knight to rest and started photographing
But when he met Joseph, something was awakening inside him, why? because Joseph is a huge Captain America fan, and we mean HUGE. if it were up to him, he would wear his Captain costume to school every day, this is Karl’s kind of kid , When the two met Karl saw that the inspiration from his hero is still real, and that Joseph and his family had gone through some tough times in the past few years
At seven years old Joseph was an awesome kid, but like many others in that age he got bullied. But when you have Captain American as your role model you can take it, you can be strong and go through some hard days, by enduring, and an idea was born. Why not combine Karl’s loves for photography and Joseph’s love to his hero? it’s perfect!
They started working on the project, choosing posters to pose, figuring out the lighting, costumes and everything else needed for this epic photo shoot. Karl says that it’s a heartwarming feeling to hear that upon seeing the first picture Joseph words were ” That’s me. That’s really me! ” The inner child in you knows exactly how that feels. Hope you guys like the images as much as we do
