Coffee houses open and close every day , so when this one opened its doors, you might think ” hey there goes another one ” but this time you will be totally wrong. why ? because this is no ordinary coffee place , this place was opened by a Utah federal prison and the inmates are the ones operating it, yeah , thats right. you get a chance to walk inside a room full of inmates and have a nice meal . before you go all crazy and think ” this is insane ” just know that its a women’s prison and obviously no “serious criminals ” are the ones serving your food. so its safe and for a good cause
Clever name
The coffee house is located on a women’s federal prison and it has a clever name
The place is physically on the prison property
The place is frequently occupied by regular customers and correctional officers on site
Notice the ironically titled items on the menu – the prices are very fair
The inmates themselves take the orders and make all the food
Everything is open so you can see them actually working in the open kitchen – they do a great job!
