The title is pretty accurate, but we have another suggestion. Or…how to earn good karma points by not being a completely selfish little sh*t. Yup, people should be more nice to each other, that’s a given, so the article below will outline some of the unspoken rules or courtesy that everyone ( YES EVERYONE ) should obey.
If everyone will do this, our world will be a little bit nicer don’t you think. And the best part about these so called rules, is that it takes no effort really to do them. You just need to care a little bit more about the people around you and not be a little shit! Check them out.
1. If someone buys you a coffee
Or any other drink, snack, food etc, you should return the favor within a week or so, if you don’t get around to it by that time, get them a small treat and leave them it by the desk
2. Don’t be stingy with the amount of alcohol you bring to a party
If you plan to consume, don’t be the guy who brought a six pack of beers and drink all the premium stuff others got
3. Turn the volume down
If you are sharing a video with a friend or playing a game in public, turn the volume down or use headphones
4. When you borrow money from a friend
Pay them back as soon as possible, it doesn’t matter the amount, don’t assume they don’t need it, never make them ask you for it
5. Return your damn shopping cart to its place
It’s not that fu*king hard!
6. Always leave the last piece
of something to the person who bought it, unless they really insist they won’t eat it
7. If you ask your friends to help you with something
Mooving, yard work or whatever, you feed them as payment
8. If you stay the night at someone’s house
Make the bed before you leave, regardless if they plan to wash the blankets or not
9. When you are done pumping gas in your car
and you need to go in the store for any reason, move the car to the parking spots and don’t take up a pump
10. When you borrow someone’s car
return it with a full tank of gas, or at least fill it up more than what you got it as a way to saying thank you
11. When someone else cooks for you
offer to help with the dishes
12. Pick up after yourself
don’t litter, make sure to leave things better than you found them
13. If someone gives you space
or the right of way on the road, wave to them as a sign of thank you
14. Do not enter an intersection
unless you can clear it completely before you stop
15. Don’t use speaker phone to have a 2 person call
unless your hands are tied and you are unable to hold the phone, this is really rude
16. Don’t let your arguments escalate in public
if you feel you can’t control your language or volume then go somewhere else where to continue where other people won’t feel uncomfortable
