Awesome Surgeon Comforts a Little Girl Just Before Her Heart Surgery

Who on earth enjoys being in a hospital?! They are cold and sterile and everybody are worried or even scared, especially if they’re going to have a complicated surgery such as heart surgery, so you can imagine how little 2-year-old girl in Zhejiang, China was feeling on September 18th when it was her turn to have one. But luckily, where is a warm human heart, there is no room for fear.

Deputy Director of Cardiac Surgery Shi Zhuo saw the toddler was scared and started calming her down by playing cartoons on his phone. An anaesthetist snapped the photos of the two of them and soon these heart-warming photos were all over the internet.

“In reality, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a boy or a girl, they all get scared in the operating [theater]. As parents, we understand that the children are scared and can appreciate the worry of the family,” explained Dr. Shi in an interview with People’s Daily Online.
