Before you go crazy on these too cute to eat cookies , let us say thanks to Maa Tamagosan , a french trained Japanese cook who made this ultimate cookie recipe . i mean , it’s sweet bears hugging nuts , how can you not love that ? the original recipe is written in japanese , but we got you covered , so here is the english version . just make sure to pop in her blog to say hi and check out other delicious things she make .
1 : Preheat your oven to 160 degrees celsius ( 320 F )
2 : Mix 110g cake flour , 20g potato starch and a pinch of salt in a bowl
3 : Mix 40g beet sugar syrup , 10g honey and 30g vegetable oil in a small bowl
4 : Once it’s mixed good , spread it between parchment paper and roll out using a rolling pin
5 : Use a bear cookie cutter for the shapes ( pretty basic )
6 : Draw the face with a pin or anything else you want that will make a pinch in the bear cuts, place the nut or almond and make sure the bear is hugging it tight
7 : With the leftover dough make the round tails
8 : Bake it for 10 minutes , reduce heat to 150 Celsius ( 300 F ) and let it bake for an additional 10 minutes
9 : Take out of the oven and thats it ! easy as pie , or cookie.. now wait for it……
